Lynn Moser is a nationally certified piano teacher through the Music Teachers National Association and has 30 years of experience teaching all ages. He received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance from the University of Arizona, where he received the Presser Foundation Award for outstanding achievement as a music major.

In the summer of 2003, Lynn served on the faculty of the International Chamber Seminar near Innsbruck, Austria.  He served as the touring accompanist for the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus for four years, performing with that group in China, Japan, Russia, the Ukraine, and Estonia.  He has played the organ in the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, and was the accompanist for the Tucson Symphony Chorus for six seasons.

Lynn has been the organist/pianist at Trinity Presbyterian Church for twenty-nine years and is the founding director of Trinity’s handbell choir.  He taught private piano lessons at the Casas Adobes Baptist Church School of Fine Arts for fifteen years before starting his own studio in 2002.

In addition, Lynn has served on the board of the Arizona State Music Teachers Association as chairman of the group’s annual state conventions in 2001 and 2002.  He has also served on the board of the Tucson Music Teachers Association and has been selected as an adjudicator for the National Guild of Piano Teachers, the Arizona Study Program evaluations, and the Arizona State Music Teachers Association Honors Recital auditions.  In addition, he has been Dean of the Southern Arizona Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.  Lynn is a native Tucsonan who lives near the University of Arizona with his wife Kathy and their two dogs, Leo and Tappy.

Lynn's objectives as a teacher are to:

  • Guide students in discovering the joy of expressing themselves through music
  • Educate students to read, interpret and appreciate music in a variety of styles
  • Encourage and challenge students to develop their skills to the fullest while appreciating their own rate of progress and that of others
  • Nurture students as they realize that the fun of learning is the accomplishment of goals that are reached after dedicated study and practice
  • Help students appreciate that music and musical talents are awesome gifts of a loving God and therefore should be devoted to God’s honor and glory

Lynn has students participating in the Arizona Study Program and the TMTA Piano Ensemble. He teaches lessons at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 400 E. University Blvd. (at Fourth Avenue) in the Moser Music Studio on a Kawai baby grand piano.  Recitals generally take place in Trinity’s sanctuary on a 7-foot Yamaha grand piano.
